Public Holidays

There are a significant number of holidays on the Orihuela Costa every year that incorporate a blend of religious, national and local festivals, and are on specific dates irrespective of the day when they fall.

Additional local holidays may be added at the discretion of the Orihuela Government, and existing local holidays dates may be subject to amendment.

Some holidays are more strictly observed than others, and for these you can expect to see closure of all shops throughout the Orihuela Costa and a reduction in public transport, although bars, restaurants and cafes will remain open.
