Getting Around Orihuela Costa

The Orihuela Costa is well served by public transport and road networks meaning no destination in the area is off limits.

Costa Azul buses travel through the Orihuela Costa following the N-332 national road, with stops on route at all the beach resorts along the coast.

For destinations away from the N-332 national road, you may need to change to an urban bus.

Urban Bus

On the Orihuela Costa there is a urban bus service, the blue and the red line, that connect several urbanisations within the area.

This bus service is provided by Costa Azul and operates throughout the year, and whilst the routes do not change, the timetable varies depending on the time of year.

The blue line runs between Playa Flamenca and Campoamor, and the red line between Playa Flamenca and Torrevieja Hospital, with various stops between the destinations.

Vehicle Rentals

The biggest advantage of doing this is that you will not have to rely on public transportation. You can get anywhere that you want, and you can go at any time that suits you, instead of waiting around for a bus that might not take you to the exact location that you desire.

Cars, motorbikes and bicycles can all be rented locally to get around the Orihuela Costa and the surrounding area.

Orihuela Costa has taxi stands throughout the area with an extensive fleet providing services 24 hours a day, during the whole year.

The number of taxis are increased during the summer season to match the increase in visitor numbers.

Taxi stands can be found in all the resorts on the Orihuela Costa, located near commercial centres, large supermarkets and prominent tourist attractions such as the beaches.

If you are unable to locate a taxi, one is never more than a short call away on 966 761 088.

Please always use registered taxis.

Tourist Trains

During the summer months, the tourist trains take to the road offering a fun way to travel between Playa Flamenca and Campoamor.
